WMSCOG, believing in God the Mother

50thRecently, people are more and more interested in the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG). Many news medias report about WMSCOG day after day and the Church of God has received a lot of awards from government by their volunteer activities. This time I will introduce some media report about the Church of God.

Why is there only God the Father? Why isn’t there God the Mother? Most people have probably wondered about this at least once while reading the Bible, even if they are not Christians. Not many verses in the Bible directly talk about the existence of God the Mother, but there are many verses that express the femininity of God, which accounts for God the Mother.

“… the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.” (Galatians 4:26)

“One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, ‘Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.'” (Revelation 21:9)

“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let him who hears say, ‘Come!’ Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes let him take the free gift of the water of life.” (Revelation 22:17)

“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!” (Isaiah 49:15) In regard to the femininity of God which is shown throughout the Bible, some scholars in women’s studies speculate, “The reason God is described as Father is because the Bible was written society was led by the male-oriented patriarchal culture.”

The above quote is based on the premise that God cannot be defined as either male or female, or that God is both masculine and feminine at the same time. In addition, it has often been proposed that God is not singular but plural. That reason is because of the Hebrew word “Elohim” which appears in the Old Testament. “Elohim” is the plural term of “Eloah” which means a singular God, and the word “Elohim” is mentioned ove 2,500 times in the Old Testament.

In the Bible, “Elohim” is translated into “we.” Why does the Bible record God, who is known as the one and only, as “we”? Especially the verse, “… God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, in our likeness…'” (Genesis 1:26) has been regarded as an unsolved mystery among the experts who have studied and interpreted the Bible for a long time. In the book, “Mysteries of the Bible,” published by Reader’s Digest in the early 1990’s, various interpretations of “Elohim” have been given by scholars. The ancient Jewish philosopher Philo said, “Elohim is the reflection of human characteristics that is good and evil at the same time.” Some scholars who studied about the early Church asserted, “It refers to the existence of Jesus who was with God when He created the heavens and the earth.” Afterwards, some theologians brought forth diverse interpretations such as: “It is just an expression showing the close relationship between the kingdom of God and the human world,” “It indicates God Himself and the angels,” as well as many other interpretations. Lavista a church of Christ .The reason why Christians worship on the first day of the week (i.e. Sunday) is quite simple. This is the day on which Christians have always worshiped. In Acts 20:7 we read: “Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight.” What was notable about the first day of the week? It was the day when the disciples came together to partake of the Lord’s Supper. The first day of the week was also the day when contributions were collected. “On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come” (I Corinthians 16:2).

While the day of rest, the Sabbath day, held significance to the people of Israel, the first day of the week holds special meaning to Christians. It was on the first day of the week that our Lord rose from the grave. “Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him. Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen. … Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him” (Mark 16:1-2, 6; see also Luke 24:1; John 20:1). And the Lord’s church was established on the day of Pentecost, which always falls on the first day of the week (Acts 2:1ff). Hence, the first day of the week became known as “the Lord’s Day.” “I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet” (Revelation 1:10).

The verses you mentions have no relation to the Sunday Service. I copied my answer for your reference here:

          ====================
Jesus was resurrected on the first day of the week and the Pentecost falls on the first day of the week. However, the Resurrection and the Pentecost are annual feasts not weekly feast. The Sabbath is a weekly feast. In other words, Jesus’ Resurrection on Sunday does not affect the Sabbath day. If you study the feasts and their fulfillment, you will know why the Resurrection Day and the day of Pentecost should Sunday.

          About Acts 20:7:
Do you know why the disciples came together to break bread on the first day of the week in Acts 20:7?

Acts 20:6 But we sailed from Philippi after the Feast Unleavened Bread, and …

Acts 20:7 On the first day of the week we came together to break bread…

Acts 20:16 … if possible by the day of Pentecost.

The disciples came together to break bread to celebrate the Resurrection Day which falls between the Day of Unleavened Bread and the day of Pentecost.

(The Lord’s Day is the Sabbath not Sunday.)

Even the Roman Catholic Church admitted that Sunday was adopted by the Roman Catholic Church and not based on the Bible:

But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday [the Sabbath]…(“The Faith of Our Fathers”)

But since Saturday, not Sunday, is specified in the Bible, isn’t it curious that non-Catholics who profess to take their religion directly from the Bible and not from the Church [the Roman Catholic Church], observe Sunday instead of Saturday? Yes, of course, it is inconsistent; but this change was made about fifteen centuries before Protestantism was born, and by that time the custom was universally observed. They have continued the custom, even though it rests upon the authority of the Catholic Church and not upon an explicit text in the Bible… (“The Faith of Millions”)

          What is Christ’s law?

Which place is keeping the Passover?

World Mission Society Church of God established by Christ Ahnsahnghong, who came a second time (Hebrews 9:27-28) to bring us salvation through the Passover of the new covenant. He also revealed to us the secret about our Heavenly Mother which is clearly testified in the Bible:

(Genesis 1:26-27) God (God of Elohim) (Hebrew: אֱלֹהִים) has two images – male and female. According to god’s image, He created man and woman. That’s why we must believing in the male image of God – God our Father who is the Spirit in the last days, and God our Mother (Galatians 4:26) who comes as the Bride in the last days (Revelation 22:17). Only through them we can receive eternal life (the water of life).

          Please see below:

The Apostle Paul said, “When I come no collections will have to be made (KJV: There be no gatherings when I come).” If it had been a regular collection, it should have been made whether the Apostle Paul came or not, shouldn’t it? If fact, the collection mentioned above was a special offering for helping out the Jerusalem Church.

There is no need for me to write to you about this service to the saints… So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to visit you in advance and finish the arrangements for the generous gift [KJV: bounty] you had promised. Then it will be ready as a generous gift, not as one grudgingly given… This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. (2 Corinthians 9:1-12)

It’s wrong to insist that it’s evidence that the Sunday service was kept by citing the verse which is not about a regular offering but a special offering. In addition, it’s also not a record of worshiping on the first day of every week. On the contrary, it proves that they worked on the first day of every week. It’s written, “On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income (GNT: Every Sunday each of you must put aside some money, in proportion to what you have earned).” It means that they must put aside some money, in proportion to what they have earned on Sunday. To earn money on the first day of the week, they must have worked on Sundays, mustn’t they? In other words, the verse of matter means that they must put aside some money earned on the first day of every week in advance not to be in hurry to collect the special offering when the Apostle Paul comes.

However, those who try to find evidence of the Sunday service in any way claim that ‘collections (offerings)’ were made on the ‘first day of every week’ by extracting only the two phrases ‘collections’ and ‘the first day of every week.’ How strange their way of interpretation is! I suppose that they cannot see the Sabbath recorded about 135 times in the Bible (80 times in the Old Testament and 55 times in the New Testament) because they read the Bible in such a strange way.

Our meeting upon the first day of the week is neither by accident nor by arbitrary selection. There are some scriptures which specifically mention the first day of the week and there are other scriptures in which the first day of the week is implied. Let’s look at these scriptures and see what we can gain in understanding from them. First, we find that all four writers of the gospel accord that Jesus was resurrected upon the first day of the week. Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:2; Luke 24:1; and John 20:1 all record Jesus as having been resurrected upon the first day of the week. We ask the question, why would the gospel writers/Holy Spirit have included this within their narrative if it were not significant? Remember, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John were all written years after the actual events occurred and the writers would have already been participating in first century worship long before they picked up the inspired pen to jot these things down. So it is not without reason that they all mention that Jesus was resurrected upon the first day of the week. Yet at this point in our discussion we know not what that reason might be. But it would certainly be fitting to say that we meet upon the first day of the week because that was the day in which our Lord was raised.

Second, we find that the preaching of the first gospel sermon and the terms of the entrance into the kingdom of God was upon the first day of the week. In Acts 2, the apostles were all meeting together on the day of Pentecost. The day of Pentecost was fifty days after the Passover Sabbath according to Leviticus 23:15, 16. So fifty days later would be forty-nine days (seven weeks) plus one day. Seven weeks from the Sabbath would be on a Saturday, so the fiftieth day would be on a Sunday or the first day of the week. Acts 2:41, 42 we read the following, “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” Most Bibles will insert a period after verse 41 and then start a new paragraph in verse 42. However, I would like to note that this is not necessarily warranted by the text. In the original Greek manuscripts, there was no punctuation. So verse 42 could likely be the continued thought of verse 41. In this case, that would make the continuing in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers happening upon the first day of the week. We could have in this verse the very beginning of the observance of the Lord’s supper. I want you also to notice the quality of events that are occurring within this verse. They are all aspects of worship. Here is the first worship assembly and the things that they did in worship to God. They studied, they broke the bread and they prayed. We see, however, in verse forty-six a contrast between the former breaking of bread. This second mention of breaking of the bread occurs daily, from house to house, and is also accompanied by the phrase “did eat their meat with gladness.” This reference to breaking bread refers to the daily meals that they took to nourish themselves. Why are two different references to breaking of bread mentioned if not to draw a contrast between the two? So we meet upon the first day of the week to worship because the apostles did this on the first day the message of the kingdom of God was preached, and they also observed the Lord’s supper here as well.

Third, we see need to take a good look at Acts 20:7. We read here, “And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.” In this context, Paul and a band of men are carrying the great collection that they have received from the churches in Macedonia, Greece, and Asia back to the church of Jerusalem to be distributed to the poor among the saints (Romans 15:26). Certain of the company went before Paul to Troas and evidently they decided that they would meet up at that location. Verse 6 of Acts 20 indicates to us that they left after the days of unleavened bread. Most likely this refers to the days of the Passover indicating that it has been completed. They arrived in Troas in five days yet they stayed for seven days. Let us keep in mind that Paul wanted to get this money back to Jerusalem for the poor and that he would have not wanted to unnecessarily delay his journey. Carrying large sums of money in that day was very dangerous for travelers. This is in part why there were so many accompanying him. They acted as both a surety that Paul was dealing wisely with the funds and also as a body guard of sorts to protect him from any thieves or brigands that might waylay them on the road. So I am sure that Paul would have wanted these funds to get into the proper hands as soon as possible. Yet he stays in Troas for seven days. Why would he do this? One can only think that it was so that he could come together with the disciples upon the first day of the week to break bread and that is exactly what is indicated by the text. The Greek text is more clear as to the purpose of the gathering in verse 7. It is for the purpose of breaking bread. That is why they came together. This is a grammatical construction in the Greek known as the infinitive of purpose. Paul’s preaching to them was an incidental event as far as the gathering was concerned. The purpose of the meeting was to break bread. The phrase “to break bread” is a figure of speech known as synecdoche, referring to a part of something when one is really making reference to the whole of something. The breaking of the bread was the opening part of the Lord’s supper as described by Paul in 1 Corinthians 11:24. Hence, that action became the symbol for the whole of the Lord’s Supper itself. This is what we find in Acts 20:7. If they knew that Paul needed to be on their way, why did not the brethren have the Lord’s supper some other day that would be more convenient to Paul? In short, because it was not the apostolic custom to meet upon any other day. The keeping of the apostolic traditions was something that Paul wrote concerning numerously indicating that they were authoritative and definitive regarding Christian practice (cf. 1 Cor.11:1; 2 Thess.3:6).

Fourth, we need to look at 1 Corinthians 16:1, 2. We read there a command by Paul to the church at Corinth. It says, “Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.” Although it is not translated this way, there is a preposition of time used in the phrase “upon the first day of the week” in this passage indicating that the Christians at Corinth meet upon every first day of the week. This is significant because to this point in our study we have seen that the first day of the week should be recognized for the resurrection of Christ. The first day of the week was when the apostles first met and preached the terms of entrance into the kingdom and first worshipped with the first church. The first day of the week was the day for which Paul and his companions and the church at Troas waited so that they could partake of the Lord’s supper. Now we have here the implication that it was not just upon occasional first days of the week, but it was upon every first day of the week. Paul is not giving a new commandment to meet upon the first day of the week to take up the collection here, but is presupposing a practice which they are already observing–that they are meeting upon the first day of the week. He is adding additional requirements to that meeting time. When you meet upon every first day of the week as it is your practice to do, go ahead and take up the collection for the saints as well. They were already meeting upon the first day of the week to do something. What were they doing? The rest of the book of 1 Corinthians kind of fills us in. They were worshipping. How were they worshipping? Part of that worship included the observance of the Lord’s supper as Paul had instructed them to do earlier in the book. The implication here is that they were partaking of the Lord’s supper upon every first day of the week.

One final passage noteworthy of our interest in this regard we find in Revelation 1:10 John says that he was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day. By the time John wrote the book of Revelation, the apostolic tradition had taken hold and been held fast so that John can refer to a specific day of the week and everyone know exactly what day he is discussing. This day was the Lord’s day–the first day of the week. Wouldn’t this be consistent with what we have learned about this day so far? This was the day that Jesus was resurrected; this was the day that the gospel was first preached; this was the day that the church first worshipped; this was the day on which the Lord’s supper was observed; and this was the day that the Lord’s collection was taken up. Need we any more evidence from the scriptures as to what day the “Lord’s Day” would be? Would it not be the first day of the week? No other day would have been referred to as the Lord’s Day by John.

Hence, from the evidence that is contained within the scriptures we may come to the conclusion that early Christians worshipped upon the first day of the week. They partook of the Lord’s supper upon the first day of the week. They gave of their means upon the first day of the week. This day came to be known as the Lord’s day. Why would we want to break with apostolic tradition in this regard? Why would we want to introduce into the church some practices about which we cannot be certain that were observed by the Christians of the first century? If we are going to have what they had, then we need to do what they did. They met and worshipped upon the first day of the week and specifically, they partook of the Lord’s supper upon the first day of the week and upon every first day of the week. Why should we do anything different than what they did? Herein lies the basic plea for New Testament Christianity–that in imitating the authorized practice of the first century church as indicated within the New Testament, we can be simply what God wants us to be–not a denominational body, not a bloated and corrupted institution of religion, but the simple church of the New Testament

        • Peter says:

          Hi

The verses you mentioned are not related to the Sunday Service. Please see below:

          1) and 2)
Jesus was resurrected on the first day of the week and the Pentecost falls on the first day of the week. However, the Resurrection and the Pentecost are annual feasts not weekly feast. The Sabbath is a weekly feast. In other words, Jesus’ Resurrection on Sunday does not affect the Sabbath day. 3) About Acts 20:7:
Do you know why the disciples came together to break bread on the first day of the week in Acts 20:7?

Acts 20:6 But we sailed from Philippi after the Feast Unleavened Bread, and …

Acts 20:7 On the first day of the week we came together to break bread…

Acts 20:16 … if possible by the day of Pentecost.

The disciples came together to break bread to celebrate the Resurrection Day which falls between the Day of Unleavened Bread and the day of Pentecost.

          4) About 1 Corinthians 16

Please carefully read the verse: “On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.”
If the Sunday service had been held in the Early Church, why did Paul say, “When I come no collections will have to be made”? If the Sunday service had been held, the collections should have been made? This verse is not about the regular collections but about special collections for Jerusalem church. The set aside a sum of money from income on Sundays, they had to work on Sundays.

          5) About Revelation 1:10

On the Lord’s Day I was in Spirit…

The Lord’s Day is Sunday? Let’s see the Bible:

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, “You must observe my Sabbaths….” (Ex 31:13)

The Lord in the Old Testament is God Jehovah. The Lord said “You must observe “MY” Sabbaths”. Therefore, the Lord’s Day is the Sabbath.

          How about the New Testament?
Jesus said, “For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath” (Mt 12:8).
Jesus is the Lord of the New Testament. Jesus said, “the Son of Man (Jesus) is Lord of the Sabbath”. Therefore, the Lord’s Day is the Sabbath not Sunday.

I showed you clear evidence that you’re not correct. Will you still insist that Sunday is written as the Service day in the Scriptures?

Even the Roman Catholic Church admitted that Sunday was adopted by the Roman Catholic Church and not based on the Bible:

God bless you Peter. Your explanation is so clear and understandable.

        • Timothy says:

What a funny and silly question is this? Those verses (Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:2; Luke 24:1) were written to teach us the resurrection of Jesus, not the importance of Sunday. The copy and shadow of the resurrection day is the day of first-fruits.

Lev 23:9-10 “The LORD said to Moses, “Speak to the Israelites and say to them; “When you enter the land I am going to give you and you reap its harvest, bring to the priest a sheaf of the first grain you harvest. He is to wave the sheaf before the LORD so it will be accepted on your behalf; the priest is to wave it on the day after the Sabbath.”

The day of first-fruits must be kept on the day after the Sabbath following the feast of Unleavened Bread. Therefore, Jesus was resurrected from the dead as a first-fruit on the day after the Sabbath. Please learn more about the Bible and come back here to discuss.

Hi Eric. I’m sorry, but you’re just playing with words. I don’t think you really know how we can receive salvation so I think you have your own way of interpreting God’s words. You are telling us that Christ is the body, and apart from Him, we cannot be saved:

(John 15:5) “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.

Jesus said to remain in Him. Are you remaining in Him and His words is remaining in you? How can you interpret the Bible without remaining in Him? So, if you’re telling us that the World Mission Society Church of God is not written in the Bible, can you tell us why you are not following the words of God?

As you have said, you worship on Sunday. Can you prove yourself that Sunday worship is from the words of God?

God said if you follow other gospel you will be eternally condemned.

(Galatians 1:6-11) I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel–which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned! Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ. I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel I preached is not something that man made up.

You’re keeping something that man made up. How can we trust in your interpretation if you’re not keeping the commandments of God? What you’re keeping is “no gospel at all.” Sunday worship came into Christianity (I think you already learned history) when the Church of God in Rome accepted pagan rituals in order to prevent themselves from persecutions. Though Roman Emperor Constantine said that he accepted Christianity, he actually was worshiping the unconquered sun Mithra.

【The History of Christianity, Lion Publishing, p. 152】

“All judges, city-people and craftsmen shall rest on the venerable day of the Sun.”

          – Constantine’s Edict

          【J.W.C. Wand, A History of the Early Church to A.D. 500, p. 132】

“But perhaps the most significant evidence of this policy is to be found in the decree of 321 regulating Sunday observance. That ordinance puts the Lord’s Day on the same level of observance as the pagan festivals and marks it by the cessation of work. It is noteworthy, however, that the day is described by no Christian appellation but simply as dies venerabilis solis, and no pagan could well object to that.”

All of Jesus’ followers kept the Sabbath on Saturday even after Jesus’ cruxificion (Acts 17:2, Acts 18:4).

God clearly told us that He will establish His own Church with His own blood. (Act 20:28) The ONLY blood that God plainly testified that is His own blood is the Passover (Exodus 34:25, Matthew 26:26).

We have to receive His blood in order to remain in Him, meaning, to remain in Christ’s body:

(John 6:53-56) “Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.”

We can clearly confirm through the Scriptures that Jesus’ blood is the Passover (Matthew 26:26, Luke 21:7, 20).

Nevertheless, if you’re NOT keeping the Passover, you have NOT received Jesus’ blood, meaning, you’re not remaining in Him, nor is He remaining in Christ’s body.

(Ephesians 1:7-9) In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ..

The circumcision was performed on the Israelites. Only those who were circumcised could participate in the Passover of the old covenant (Exodus 13:43-48). This was changed to baptism in the times of the New Testament (Colossians 2:11-12), in order for us to participate in the Passover of the new covenant.

This is why the Apostle Paul who followed the example of Christ kept the Passover (1 Corinthians 11:22-26), which we must proclaim until He comes.

Not to be confused with the Law of Moses which Paul clearly testified that he was under the Law of Christ.

You’re right about “FAITH IS OBEDIENCE.” So that is why we must keep His commandments, which is His will (Matthew 7:21-23) which we must “KEEP” in order to receive His blood, and don’t tell me that this was abolished on the cross because the Apostle Paul kept the Passover even after Jesus’ death on the cross which was abolished in 325 AD at the Council of Nicaea.

If you’re keeping God’s commandments, you can remain in Him and receive all knowledge and wisdom and understanding. Without keeping His commandments, we cannot remain in Him, nor could we receive salvation.

World Mission Society Church of God is the only place where God’s feasts is celebrated, which is the Spiritual Zion – the only place where God’s feasts are celebrated. It is the place which was established with God’s own blood.

          • Eric says:

I can not help you ,you refuse to listen . you pervert the word of God to a point I have never seen before. This is my last post .

            • Peter says:

Hi Eric. Unfortunately, it’s you who would not listen. Sunday is not the will of God. As I wrote, Jesus said, “The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.” And He stressed the importance of the Sabbath day by saying, “Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath” (Mt 24:20.) If the Sabbath is not so important, why did Jesus say that?

Moreover, Jesus promised the forgiveness of sins through the Passover by saying “This [the Passover wine] is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins ” (Mt 26:28) when He kept the Passover on the 14th day of the 1st month in the sacred calendar. He declared the Passover as the new covenant (Lk 22:20) and even said, “I have eagerly desired to keep this Passover with you” (Lk 22:15.) Today, no churches except the World Mission Society Church of God keep the Passover according to the teaching of Jesus.

On the contrary, people keep Christmas. However, it’s well-known fact that Jesus was not born on December 25th. (If you are doubt, you can confirm it easily on the Internet.) Christmas originated from Roman festivals which celebrated the birth of sun (http://crc.ac/the-origin-of-christmas/).

Though you see, you do not understand and you would not accept it. It’s because you are following the teachings of men, not the teachings of God.

Please throw away your own thoughts. Instead, follow the teachings of God: the Sabbath and the Passover of the new covenant. If then, you will realize the true God of this age.

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. (Revelation 22:17)

The water of life means eternal life. In this age, the Holy Spirit and the Bride are to give us eternal life through the Passover of the new covenant.

            • Eric says:

This is the new covenant in my blood ” why do you pervert the word? We are under the new not the old . Repent .This is my last message.

            • Peter says:

Hey. Why do you say I am perverting the word? Jesus said, “I eagerly desired to keep this Passover with you” and “This cup is the new covenant in my blood” (Luke 22:15; 20.) When did He say this?

Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed (Luke 22:7.)

When was the Passover lamb killed? On the 14th day of the 1st month in the sacred calender. Do you keep the Passover on the 14th day of the 1st month in the sacred calendar? Jesus clearly said, “I have eagerly desired to keep this Passover with you. (Luke 22:15)” Why not keeping the Passover? Jesus promised the forgiveness of sins through the Passover of the new covenant. How can you get salvation by receiving the forgiveness of sins without keeping the Passover?

            • Eric says:

We are not saved by keeping customs . We are saved by the blood of Christ accessed through baptism. Acts 22:16 Acts 2:38 . The cumunion is a memorial service. ” do this in rememberance of me “I will not answer anymore of your email s unless you want some help. Good bye.

            • Peter says:

Hi. Do you understand the meaning of “Do this”? Does this mean “Do not this?” Then, why did Jesus say “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you?”

Do you think you will be saved as long as you have faith? How will you prove you have faith?

You see that a person is justified by “WHAT HE DOES” and not by faith alone. (James 2:24)
As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. (Jame 2:26)

We need both faith and deeds to get salvation.

            • Eric says:

We do not teach faith only that is heresy . Hear believe confess repent be baptized live faithful . Goodbye

            • Peter says:

However, you do not keep the Passover of the New Covenant which Jesus also eagerly desired to keep. It’s important to keep God’s commandments. Keeping Sunday and Christmas is far from the will of God. How do you say you have faith in God without keeping God’s words?

            • Eric says:

I have shown a example of saint s gathering on the first day of the week . You need to show book chapter verse that says they met on sat. I partake of the Lords supper every first day of the week. I am finished here .

            • Peter says:

              Hi Eric

As I said, we should keep the Passover in a proper way on the day when the Passover lamb was killed as Jesus did (Luke 22:7.)

The verse Acts 20:7 is about the Resurrection Day (Please read carefully, they broke the bead and did not drink wine.) It’s because they broke the bread on the Day of Resurrection. On the day of Resurrection, Jesus appeared in front of two disciples but they did not recognize Him. When Jesus broke the bread, their eyes were open and recognized Jesus (Luke 24.) So the disciples broke the bread on the Day of Resurrection and Acts 20:7 is about the Day of Resurrection.

Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord (1 Co 11:27)

You said, “I partake of the Lord’s supper every fist day of the week.” This shows you disobey the words of Jesus who said, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you”. The Passover is an annual feast, not a weekly feast. You are guilty of sinning against the body and blood of God by eating the bread and drinking the wine every Sunday.

            • Eric says:

I’m finished with you. You are way to far astray to even begin to help . I’ll continue to pray that you stop distorting scripture to fit your ideology. Goodbye . No need to respond . I will not any longer. Titus 3-11

            • Peter says:

I showed you the verses about the Sabbath day through the Bible.
Why do you say I am distorting the Scriptures?

It’s you who distort the Bible.

It’s well known fact that Sunday is not based on the Bible.
It’s also well-known that Christmas is not the birthday of Jesus. (If you are doubt, ask this question your pastor or someone.)
It’s written in the Bible that those who follow the teaching of men cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. Sunday, Christmas, Thanksgiving Day, the cross.. All these mere man-made teachings and are not based on the Bible.

            • Peter says:

There are many verses about the Sabbath day.

As his custom was, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them form the Scriptures… (Acts 17:2)

Every Sabbath he reasoned in the synagogue… (Acts 18:4)

On the Sabbath we went outside the city gate to the river, where we expected to find a place of prayer. (Acts 16:13)

Moreover, Jesus also kept on the Sabbath as was His custom:

He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom… (Luke 4:16)

Can you show me any verse that Jesus kept on the first day of the week? You can’t because He did not keep Sunday. As I said, Jesus stressed the importance of the Sabbath day by saying “Pray that you flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath.” If we need not to keep the Sabbath, why did He say so? The Sabbath must be kept by the end of the world.

Sunday is a day for celebrating sun-god and Christmas is the birthday of sun-god, not Jesus. Why don’t you realize this? Jesus and the disciples kept the Sabbath not Sunday. As I said, even the Roman Catholic Church, who adopted the Sunday service, acknowledged that Sunday is not based on the Bible but was adopted by the Catholic Church. The Biblical Sabbath is Saturday not Sunday. Think it carefully. If you insist the Sunday service, will you be able to enter the kingdom of heaven?

            • Eric says:

There you go twisting scripture again! They went into the synagogues on the Sabbath to preach Jesus and to convert jews. Not to uphold a old covenant ritual. The sabath was a covenant between God and the house of isrial you nor I are of the house of Israel. You are warped and sinning and I am tired of repeating myself. Expect no more replies. To many truth seekers to waste time with someone who is blind and cannot see . I will not read nor reply again.

            • Peter says:

Hey. Can you show me any verse Jesus went into the synagogues on the first day of the week?
At that time, there were no churches like today. Jesus and the disciples kept the Sabbath day (the Sabbath of the New Covenant, not of the Old Covenant: http://mygodchristahnsahnghong.com/2013/05/13/the-sabbath-day-of-the-old-testament-and-the-sabbath-day-of-the-new-testament/ ) in the synagogues or on a riverside or a rental house… Please read the following article carefully:

              http://mygodchristahnsahnghong.com/2013/09/22/to-those-who-distort-the-sabbath-day-observed-by-jesus/

Why do you still deny the words of God and insist your own thoughts and man-made teachings?

            • Peter says:

              Hi Eric

I think you are afraid of facing the truth, aren’t you? But all things I said are based on the Bible. As I said, even the Catholic Church wrote that Sunday is not based on the Bible. It’s a custom of men. Think about it: people celebrated Sunday for more than 1,600 years. It’s very natural that they think Sunday is the day of worship. However, we should see the Bible and follow the words of Jesus. WE must not please men but God. I showed you many verses about the Sabbath day and showed that Sunday is not based on the Bible. If you throw away your own thoughts and prejudice, you will be able to realize that I am talking of the Words of God not of men.

  3. Eric says:

Also… The new testament church came together on the first day of the week Acts20:7 and Christmas ,thanksgiving are just another perversion of the same problem your apart of ! False teaching! I observe them only as secular not religious holidays! How does one fall so far !? I will pray fervently for this group that has been lead astray by Satan!

    • whoiswmscog says:

Hi, Eric. Thank you for your remark on this article. However, your comments make me laugh. First, Acts 20:7 is not the record about the Sunday service.

Acts 20:6-7 “But we sailed from Philippi after the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and five days later joined the others at Troas, where we stayed seven days. On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight.”

This is a gathering on Sunday at Troas following the feast of Unleavened Bread. Then, what day is it, the first Sunday after the feast of Unleavened Bread? It is the day of first fruits, that is Resurrection day in the New Testament time.

Lev 23:6 “On the fifteenth day of that month the LORD’S Feast of Unleavened Bread begins; for seven days you must eat bread made without yeast… The LORD said to Moses, “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter the land I am going to give you and you reap its harvest, bring to the priest a sheaf of the first grain you harvest. He is to wave the sheaf before the LORD so it will be accepted on your behalf; the priest is to wave it on the day after the Sabbath.”

In the Old Testament time, Israel people kept the feast of Unleavened Bread for seven days and kept the day of first fruit on the day after the Sabbath following the feast of Unleavened Bread. This is a copy and shadow of the New Testament. Jesus has sacrificed on the Cross on the feast of Unleavened Bread and first Sunday after it, He resurrected again. Therefore the day becomes the Resurrection day.

Even the Catholic church admitted that Sunday service is not written in the Bible in their doctrines.

The Faith of Millons John A. O’Berien, Our Sunday Visitor, Inc, 1974.
“You believe that the Bible alone is a safe guide in religious matters. You also believe that one of the fundamental duties enjoined upon you by your Christian faith is that of Sunday observance. But where does the Bible speak of such an obligation? I have read the Bible from the first verse of Genesis to the last verse of Revelations, and have found no reference to the duty of sanctifying the Sunday. The day mentioned in the Bible is not the Sunday, the first day of the week but the Saturday, the last day of the week.”

Therefore it is a wrong insistence that Acts 20:7 is the record about the Sunday Service.

Second, you said, ‘ I observe them(Christmas and thanksgiving day and so on) only as secular not religious holidays!

      The Bible says,
Gal 1:6 “I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel–which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.”

      Please come back to God.

    • whoiswmscog says:

The Church of God is the only church established by Jesus Christ 2,000 ago. Then, how can you say run far away from Jesus? Please come back to Jesus and you can find the truth of Jesus Christ only in the World Mission Society Church of God such as Passover, Sabbath Day and Etc.

  5. Roberts says:

World Mission Society Church of God is the only church that deliver the truth of God the Mother. Also, the Passover, Sabbath day and Seven Feast in three times of the New Covenant are kept in WMSCOG. However, almost churches insist that people of God must keep Christmas, Sunday-worship, Thanks-giving day adding God the mother.
As we can call God Father on the basis of the Bible, in our generation, we can say there exists God the Mother, wife of the Father in heaven. We need to remember why Jews’ religious leader persecuted Jesus 2,000 years ago. It was because of Jesus as a man. On the contrary, disciples realize Jesus is God through the Bible.
Thus, if we open the bible, eventually, we can say she is God. Only those who receive her through the Bible will be given abundant blessings like disciples 2,000 years ago.

Gal 4:26) But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.

  7. Loren says:

Right. The WMSCOG believes in God the Father and God the Mother. It’s because the Bible testifies not only about God the Father but also God the Mother. Even christians who believe God, don’t know God the Mother. But the reason the Church of God has received a lot of awards from the world is because God the Mother is with us and she teaches us. Surely God the Mother is the key to brighten up the world and save our souls!

  8. jackey says:

A long time ago, i had doubts about “why only God the Father exists and not God the Mother”

But nobody could give me an answer about this matter before i went to the WMSCOG.

WMSCOG is the only true church which leads us to the way of salvation and eternal life.

Because God the Mother who is the key to salvation only dwells in the WMSCOG.

All glory, praise and thanks to Father Ahansahnghong and Heavenly Mother.

  9. bsh5295 says:

The devoted service spirit in the WMSCOG originates from God the Mother’s teaching.

The Bible clearly testifies about God the Father and God the Mother.(Gal 4:26) and God refer to Himself as “us”,”our” in plural term when He explains about God’s image In the book of Genesis.
However, most people interpret the Bible by their own opinions. Therefore, they deny the existence of God the Mother.

When we study the Bible, we should throw away our opinions and fixed idea. Then we can easily realize what the Bible says to us.

  14. Eugene says:

In these days, Why people call God as ‘God the Father’?
Because there are many records about ‘God the Father’ in the Bible.

Mat 6:9 “This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,

Heb 12:9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it.
How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live!

Then, if you can find the record about ‘Mother’ in the Bible, how can you call Her?

Gal 4:26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.

Despite of all these evidences, would you say that there is only God the Father?

  15. falljohn says:

I’m very proud of being a member of WMSCOG who follows God the Mother.
I remember the day when I studied the truth concerning the truth of God the Mother.
On that day, my heart was filled with great joy which I had never felt before!
And, I appreciated that Elohim God opened my spiritual eyes.
Thanks to Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother because they sought and saved my soul!

  16. In the church of God which gradually concentrates people’s eyes, we can find God the Mother whom we cannot find in other churches. Even though many people could not realize God the Mother whom the bible testifies about because of their fixed mind for a long time, She is truly our God whom we must meet in this age. I hope that we prepare heaven together through the water of life from Heavenly Mother.

  17. Anne says:

We are living in the last age of the Holy Spirit as most of Christianity acknowledge and also most of them are aware of the Trinity which means that God the Father ‘Jehovah’, God the Son ‘Jesus’ and the Holy Spirit are not different but the same, One God.
However God based on the Trinity is commonly called ‘God the Father’ to represent God Who has male image.
Therefore it doesn’t make sense to testify Elohim with many verses of the Bible into ‘God the Fathers’ in plural term which means more than two Fathers.
Because Elohim is testified to have two images that are God of male image and God of female image as well.
Ge1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
The bottom line is that beside from God the Father of male image based on the Trinity, God the Mother of female image must exist so that we call ‘Elohim’.

Zechariah 8:22~23 And many peoples and powerful nations will come to Jerusalem to seek the LORD Almighty and to entreat him.” This is what the LORD Almighty says: “In those days ten men from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, ‘Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.’ ”

I witnessed that this prophecy was fullfilled in all the places. I have no doubt that the day is close when all the peoples of the world will come to Heavenly Jerusalem Mother and seek Her grace.

  19. Sue says:

Let’s think about the fixed idea. A man rushed into the emergency room with his father. By the way, a doctor in the emergency room says to the man in surprise. “Oh! My son!” Then, between a doctor and a man, what kind of relationship do they have? The answer is mother and son. Many people probably think a doctor is a male.
Likewise, the idea that there is only a male image of God is also a fixed idea. The Bible clearly testifies that God the Mother exists. Let’s remove our fixed idea~!

  20. David J.K says:

Unless we receive the water of life, we cannot receive the eternal life, nor salvation nor the kingdom of heaven nor the glory and the blessings of heaven. In this age, when people are suffering from severe thirst because of a famine of hearing the words of God, Heavenly Mother says…

Rev 22:17 “The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.”

  21. Isaac says:

אֱלוֹהִים(Elohim) is a word that means Gods. Through the fact that there is a word, expressing God as plural being, we can understand that there is not only God the Father but also someone else. Who can be born without mother? The providence of the creatures gives us a hint to approach to the truth that there must be God the Father and God the Mother.

  22. ashely scott says:

From the beginning, God has testified about the secret of God the Mother in the Bible and gave us many evidences.
However, We just could not have found and realized this truth by ourselves.
Now we can believe in God the Mother by the testimony of Christ Ahnsahnghong, our God the Father who is Trinity God.

If you are truly God’s people, you can realize the secret of our God the Mother easily through the Bible, as if you already knew that God the Mother is with us from the beginning.

  23. Niclee says:

The kingdom of heaven where God the Mother dwells is the true kingdom of heaven mentioned in the Bible.
Just as all living creatures of the earth cannot receive a life without mothers, the world without mothers has no life.

“Our Father in heaven” (Mt 6:9)
The word, “Father” contains the existence of Mother.

  24. Anonymous says:

As the earthly life come from the earthly mother, our spiritual life come only from the Heavenly Mother! We, all, believe in God the Mother and go back to our hometown, heavenly one with Elohim God! Thanks and praise be to our True Elohim God!

  25. lebekah says:

Because of the love of Elohim God, the Church of God could rapidly grow.
Fulfilling all of prophecies in the Bible cannot be done by the will of man but the will of God.
    Thanks to You, Elohim God.
