Is faith the only requirement for salvation? Of course, faith is mandatory for saving, but is it a unique requirement?

In order to receive salvation, we must have faith, as well as do what God asked of us.

[Mark 16:16]

     Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

When we look at the teachings of Jesus, we must believe and be baptized to receive salvation. This means that faith alone is not enough, as deeds based on faith are also required for salvation. Jesus said that even his disciples have nothing to do with him if they DO NOT follow his teachings.

     "No," said Peter, "you shall never wash my feet." Jesus answered, "Unless I wash you, you have no part with me."

Even though Peter had strong faith[Mark 16:16], Jesus emphasized the importance of deeds based on faith for salvation. That is why Jesus taught us that we can receive salvation when we follow God's will.

[Mark 7:21]

     "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Jesus taught us that we cannot enter the kingdom of heaven through faith alone. We should follow the will of God. The Bible also states that being baptized and keeping the Passover[Luke 22:15] are God's will.
