Was Jesus born on December 25th?
Many people around the world are waiting for Christmas on December 25th and celebrate it as the birth of Jesus. But was Jesus really born on December 25th?
According to the Bible, Jesus could not have been born in the winter. December 25th is a pagan holiday that originated from a Roman festival. It was a day to celebrate the birth of the sun-god or Mithra. This day of celebrating the sun god's birth has been replaced with and maintained as Jesus's birthday for a long time.
Can we get salvation when we participate in a pagan festival? No, we can't.
The World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) does not celebrate Christmas. Instead, the Church of God observes the Passover of the New Covenant by following the teachings of Jesus. Jesus established the Passover for the forgiveness of sins (Matthew 26:28.) But the New Covenant disappeared during the Dark Ages and no one could keep it until Christ Ahnsahnghong, the Second Coming Jesus, restored it.

Christmas comes from the worship of the Gentiles.
Christmas is the birthday of the sun god. It is not the birthday of Jesus.
Traditionally, December 25 is the day for the winter solstice. And on that day, people celebrated the birth of the sun. The day was originated for the sungod worship. The biblical description of the birth of Jesus is around the spring time, not winter. Therefore, December 25 has nothing to do with the birth of Christ.
Some insist that it is just important to celebrate "His coming to the earth for our salvation". However, we should remember the history of King Jeroboam who kept the feast on the day of the month when he chose by himself. He was finally destroyed.
God gave us the appointed feasts such as the Sabbath and the Passover. We shouldn't keep man-made laws such as Christmas and Sun Day services.
