The bible states that the ancestors of faith compared their earthly life to that of foreigners or sojourners. This was because they yearned for their heavenly hometown where they existed before being born.

Just as the body is born in a physical hometown, the soul also has a hometown where it was born. The birth of the soul and the body do not occur simultaneously. But is in a state similar to a prison due to its transgressions against God. Consequently, souls are cast down to Earth, dwelling in physical bodies.

Jesus came to seek and save the lost, and He emphasized the importance of mercy over sacrifices. Sins are forgiven through the water of life given by God.

For the souls that sinned in heaven and were cast down to Earth, forgiveness of sins is necessary to return to their heavenly home. The way to attain forgiveness and return to heaven is through the water of life flowing from Jerusalem. The water of life cleanses sin and impurity.

Jerusalem above, which is free, is our mother. 

Jerusalem is referred to as the wife (bride) of the Lamb, representing our mother who provides the water of life. The Spirit and the bride invite those who are thirsty to come and take the water of life freely.

Thus, Heavenly Mother, symbolized by Jerusalem, calls upon her children who desire to return to their eternal heavenly home, urging them to receive the water of life.
