Life as strangers & Heavenly Home

Earth is our physical home where we born and grew up.

Then, what about our spirits?Is the earth our spiritual home, too?
Let's find the answer in the Bible.
In the book of Genesis, Jacob, one of our ancestor of faith, described his life as a pilgrimage.

Genesis 47/8-9 Pharaoh asked him, "How old are you?" and Jacob said to Pharaoh, "The years of my pilgrimage are hundred and thirty, My years have been few and difficult, and they do not equal the years of the pilgrimage of my fathers"
When Pharaoh asked Jacob how old he was, Jacob replied that the years of his pilgrimage were a hundred and thirty.
All the years Jacob had lived since his birth= Years of his pilgrimage

He testified the same thing about his fathers as well.
"The years of the pilgrimage of my fathers." 

This means that Jacob's ancestors, too, lived as strangers here on earth.

The same teaching is also recorded in the book of Hebrews.

Hebrews 11/4-14 By faith Abel... By faith Noah... By faith Abraham... All these people were still living by faith when they died..... And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own.

The ancestors of faith such as Abel, Noah, Abraham = admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth.

This is the same testimony as that of Jacob, who referred to his life and his ancestors'lives as a pilgrimage.

The ancestors of faith are not the only ones who lived as aliens and strangers on earth.

Ancestors of Faith + We = Aliens and strangers on earth

What does it mean that we are living as aliens and strangers on this earth?
It means that this earth is not our country.
This earth is our physical home, but it is not our spiritual home.

Where is our spiritual home, then?

Hebrews 11/15-16 If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have hac opportunity to return, Instead, they were longing for a better country - a heavenly on.

A better country - a heavenly one = HEAVEN

Our physical home is somewhere on this earth, but our spiritual home is heaven.

Although we are now living on earth while putting on flesh, we were originally angels who lived in the glorious kingdom of heaven.

However, can we return to the country we have left if we live without thinking of it?

We need to fully understand that heaven is our spiritual home and make every effort to return to heaven while living godly lives according to the teachings of the Bible.
