Countless churches around the world observe Sunday.

And it is argued that there is no need to keep the Sabbath because it was an Old Testament law, since it was abolished in the New Testament era, is it really like that in the bible?

Why does the Church of God keep the Sabbath? We can know it through the Sabbath that Jesus and the apostles kept in the New Testament era.

Luke 4:16 Jesus came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and stood up to read.

Jesus observed the Sabbath according to his custom, if it's done only once or twice, it's not a rule. Jesus, our Savior, continued to observe the Sabbath even in the New Testament era.

Based on the evidence of Jesus observing the Sabbath in the Bible, After Jesus' crucifixion, the Sabbath was not abolished. Let's examine the actions of the apostles,

Acts 17:2 Paul, as was his custom, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths he reasoned with them from the Scriptures,

​The apostle Paul was a follower of Christ and became an apostle after Jesus' sacrifice on the cross.

However, there are no indications that he observed worship every Sunday.

The apostle Paul also followed Jesus' example and observed the Sabbath for three weeks according to custom.

Acts 18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks.

Here as well, the apostle Paul follows the pattern of Jesus by being in the synagogue every Sabbath.

After Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, the Sabbath was not abolished.

The claim that the early church observed Sunday is not supported by the Bible.

Just as Jesus and the apostles observed the Sabbath,

The Church of God holds worship on Saturday, the Sabbath testified by the Bible.

Let us continue to follow the example of Jesus and the apostles and observe the Sabbath day.
