Many Christians in the world today do not know that the Bible contains the law of Christ. They claim that because all legal laws have been abolished, there is no God's law to keep for salvation in the New Testament era, and that salvation is achieved simply through faith in Christ.

However, this claim greatly misunderstands the teachings of the Bible. It is true that the Old Testament law given during the time of Moses was abolished in the New Testament era. However, the law was not simply abolished. God abolished the law of Moses and at the same time established a new law. The law of Christ that Jesus came and established exists.

So Apostle Paul testified that he did not exist under the Old Testament law established during the time of Moses, but that he did exist under the law of Christ.

1 Corinthians 9:20-21 To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law.

This means that there is a law of Christ that Paul must follow. Then shouldn’t we also keep the law of Christ? Like this, the Bible contains the law of Christ that believers in the New Testament era must follow. When Christ came, he not only abolished the law, but established a new law.
