Do you know the story of the Garden of Eden?

In Eden, there was the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and God forbade you to eat everything else, but not as much as the tree of the knoledge of good and evil.

But Adam and Eve became guilty of eating the tree of the knoledge of good and evil by the devil's deception.

For this reason, God blocked the way so that sinners cannot go near the tree of life.

And the Lord God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever."

Genesis 3:22

This was after Adam and Eve had already committed crimes. But God told them that even a criminal sinner could be eternal if he ate only life.

So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

Genesis 3:23-24

At God's command, they held flaming swords flashing back and forth and guarded the way to the tree of life so that no one could go near it.

Adam and Eve's crimes have also led to death for mankind.

If mankind could eat from the tree of life mentioned in the Garden of Eden, they would be able to break free from the sin that had been passed down from Adam and Eve.

So what is it with the tree of life? Let's look through the Bible.

"Jesus said to them, "Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, . . . "

John 6:53-54

There is no other way for mankind to obtain eternal life except through the tree of life in the Garden of Eden.

Yet, 2,000 years ago, when Jesus came to this earth, taking pity on mankind, what teaching did He preach?

"Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my fliesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them."

John 6:54-56

Through this mated verse in the New Testament, we can understand the reality of the tree of life in the Garden of Eden. What do Jesus' flesh and His blood represent in the Garden of Eden? 

If we examine the problem closely, we can find the answer within it. Don't people often say that where there is a problem there is a solution? 

The solution to the problem of sin can be found in the Garden of Eden. 

Since it is written that in the Garden of Eden, there is no other way to eternal life than the tree of life, what do Jesus flesh and blood represent in the Garden of Eden?

So the disciiples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.

Matthew 26:17-19

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body." Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."

Matthew 26:26-28

"Whoever eats the flesh of the Son of Man and drinks His blood has eternal life." As we have just read, the Passover bread and wine represent His flesh and blood. Therefore, what can we say about those who participate in the Holy Supper of the Passover? They are those who eat Jesus' flesh and drink His blood.

Thus, they can partake of Jesus' promise to give eternal life. In other words, the Passover is the tree of life in the Garden of Eden. 

If you want to get the eternal life, you must keep the Passover.
