Many people argue that the bride in the Book of Revelation is saints, not God the Mother. Let us think about this matter and find out the truth.

Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

In this prophecy there are four different entities mentioned: the Spirit, the bride, those who hears, and those who will hear through those who have already heard. Then first let us think about the water of life. What is the water of life? It is eternal life as we can see in the teachings of Jesus. (John 4:14, 7:37) Then who can give us eternal life?

Let us think about this matter with the reason God has granted to man so that they can make a right judgment. Can a person give something that he does not have? For example, can a person give a diamond ring which he does not have to his wife? Let us not distort this matter with many excuses. You might say that a person who has money can buy one for her or similar other excuses. I mean a person who has no means of buying a diamond ring or getting one in any way can give one to his wife. He has no money. He has no friends or generous uncle who would give one or lend him money. Nor does he have rich parents who can provide him with anything. Nor can he find one accidentally.

Simply put, he cannot get a diamond. Then can he give one to others? No, he can’t. If he says that he can, he is a liar or swindler. Let us go back to the verse above. What is given out by the Spirit and the bride? It is the water of life, or eternal life. Then who are the Spirit and the bride? The bible testifies that it is only God who has eternal life.

Psalm 36:9 For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.

The source of the water of life is in God. Also it is written:

1 Timothy 6:15 which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.

Only God is immortal, which means only God has eternal life. Then who are the Spirit and the Bride who give the water of life? They must be God, right? The Spirit is God the Father according to the trinity that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are one God.

Then who is the bride of the Spirit or God the Father who comes in the last days to give the water of life? Even though we do not know who the bride is, we can conclude that she must be God too. She can never be a saint. A saint or church represents people and they are sinners who are destined to die. They cannot give eternal life even to themselves. How can then they give eternal life to others? In the previous verse, the saints are those who wish to receive the water of life from the Spirit and the bride. They must receive the water of life, not vice versa. Then who is the bride?

In the same book, the bride is described as heavenly Jerusalem, which comes down from heaven in the last days. She was in heaven with the Spirit and comes down together with the Spirit to give the water of life. (Revelation 21:9) And Apostle Paul testifies about the identity of the Heavenly Jerusalem:

Galatians 4:26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.

The Heavenly Jerusalem is our Mother or God the Mother. At the time when Paul wrote about her, she was in heaven above. But John prophesies that she would come down from heaven to this earth in the last days to give the water of life. We are living in the time of the fulfillment of the prophecies. We must receive God the Father and God the Mother who would come as the Spirit and the bride in the last days.
