When you travel on the road, you can find directions through mileposts. A milepost shows the direction and distance to the destination. What if the milepost is showing the wrong direction? You might find yourself in the middle of nowhere. Therefore, you must have a correct milepost to get to the destination.

It is the same with our life of faith. We are on our journey toward the kingdom of heaven. To find the right way, we must have right spiritual mileposts. Without having them, we can get lost and ultimately will not be able to get to the destination. We will end up in a wrong place. How important it is to have right mileposts! Then how can we find the right mileposts in our journey?

The bible teaches that the words of God are working as mileposts so that we can find the way to God and heaven. When we obey the words of God, we can arrive at heaven our final destination.

Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

The words of God are working as light in a dark place so that we can find the direction to heaven. In other words, the words of God are the milestones that we must look at to find the way to heaven. If someone tampers with the milestones changing the directions, it can cause a lot of confusion to those who look at the milestones. Therefore, nobody should change the milestone without permission.

It is the same with the words of God. Since the words of God are working as milestones, nobody should change the words of God. If they did, it can cause terrible results to those who try to find the way to heaven. For this reason, the bible teaches us that we must not change the words of God.

Revelation 22:18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. 19And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

God wants us to obey the words in the bible absolutely. When we change the words of God, we cannot find the right direction and we would end up in hell, rather than heaven. Today, many churches around the world are following the wrong directions changed by Satan. Satan changed the Sabbath Day to the Sunday worship. Also the Passover was abolished, and the Christmas was introduced as the commands of God. However, when we follows the wrong milestones such as the Sunday worship and Christmas, we cannot reach heaven. Now we must turn back and find the right direction by obeying the words of God.
