Most churches place a cross on top of their buildings, believing that it has some kind of power.
However, we must realize that the cross itself has no power, and it should not be placed in the church because God never commanded us to do so. It is similar to the Israelites worshiping the bronze snake for hundreds of years.
The Israelites were saved through God’s word, saying, “Anyone who looks at the bronze snake will live,”
not because the bronze snake itself had power.
Likewise, we can be saved through Jesus Christ, who was sacrificed on the cross, not through the power of the cross itself.
Therefore, what we should keep is the Passover, not the cross.
