Everyone dies. There is no one in the world who can avoid death. Then do you know where did death originate? The Bible tells us that the history of our death began in Garden of Eden.

When we study the history of the Garden of Eden, we can see that God commanded Adam and Eve not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but they ate the forbidden fruit, being tempted by the serpent, and came to die after all.

The story of Adam and Eve who sinned in the Garden of Eden is a recomposed story of us who sinned in heaven; it helps us understand how we sinned in heaven.

All human beings, who are born on this earth, are destined to die because of their sins like Adam and Eve.

However, it is not only the history of death that we can see in Eden. As the saying goes, “Where there is a problem, there is a solution,” there is also the secret of eternal life in Eden.

There was the tree of life in the Garden of Eden; if anyone ate from the tree, he would live even though he was once doomed to die because of eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Ge 3:22-24 And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

God drove Adam and Eve, who had sinned, out of the Garden of Eden and let cherubim guard the way to the tree of life with a flaming sword.

Even the sinners, who came to die as the result of eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, could live forever if they ate from the tree of life. This shows that even those whose souls are destined to die as the result of sinning in heaven, can live forever if they eat from the tree of life.

Therefore we, the sinners should find out what is the reality of tree of life. what is the way for us to eat from the tree of life?

Jn 6:53–54 Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life . . .”

What should we eat to have eternal life? Jesus’ Flesh and Blood
What should we eat in Eden to have eternal life? Fruit of the Tree of Life
Therefore we can understand the reality of Tree of Life is Jesus’ Flesh and Blood.

Now, let's find out how can we eat Jesus' flesh and drink His blood.

Mt 26:26–28 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”

The Passover is the way to eat Jesus’ flesh and drink His blood. Therefore Passover is the ceremony to eat from the tree of life. In other words, It is the only way we, sinners who are bound to die, can be saved.

Therefore we must celebrate the Passover of the new covenant in order to receive eternal life and enter the kingdom of Heaven.
