Most churches and denominations worship on Sunday. They go to church on Sunday. However, WMSCOG which believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother worship on Saturday. Then why does WMSCOG worship on Saturday, not on Sunday? Because the Bible testifies about it.

Gen 2:1-3 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.

As you know, God created all things from 1st day to the 6th day. And on the 7th day, He rested from his work. Then God blessed that day, the Sabbath day, and made it holy. God commanded us to keep this holy and blessed day, the Sabbath.

Ex 20:8 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

As God’s people, we must keep the Sabbath holy. Then what day is the Sabbath, the 7th day?

Let’s think about it by dictionary. If you find the word ‘Sunday’, you can see that it means that the first day of a week. And Saturday means that the 7th day from Sunday, the weekend. What day is Saturday, the 7th day? It’s Saturday.

Let’s think about it through the Bible.

Mk 16:9 When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons.

This is the scene where testifies about Jesus’ resurrection. When was Jesus resurrected? He was resurrected on the first day of the week. And this day was on Sunday. Then what day is the 7th day? From Sunday, the 7th day is Saturday. The Bible testifies that the 7th day, the Sabbath day, is Saturday. What day should we keep for worship? We should worship on Saturday, not on Sunday. That’s why WMSCOG keeps the Sabbath on Saturday. No matter how many believers and churches go to church on Sunday and insist that it’s common sense, we must follow what the Bible testifies and what God commanded us for our salvation.
