Elohim means Gods. It's plural word. God referred himself as 'Gods'. It means that God has more than 1 image!!
The answer about this mystery is below this verse(Gn 1:26). If you read Genesis 1:27, you can realize the reason why God referred himself as Gods!
When I speak 'Elohim' I feel that only the chosen will be saved!
Before becoming a member of the WMSCOG, I had never heard about 'Elohim'. It was the same with my Christian friends.
On hearing the existence of God the Mother, I thought that there existed a different Bible in this world.
However, it was my misunderstanding and God the Mother is clearly testified in the Bible.
The existence of God the Mother is to be received only by the chosen!
I believe in God Elohim- the Spirit and the Bride, whom the Bible testifies about from the beginning!
Since the creation of the heavens and the earth in Genesis, God created all things, created Adam in the image of God the Father, and created Eve in the image of God the Mother.

Amen. The word Elohim means Gods. So there is not only one God. The Bible says that God has two images, male and female. God who has male image is God the Father and God who has female image is God the Mother. So we should believe in not only God the Father but also God the Mother according to the teaching of the Bible!
God has male image and female image. The male image of God is called Father. How can we call the female image of God? We should call her Mother. God the Father and God the Mother appear together as the Spirit and the Bride to give the water of life.
God expressed himself as Elohim God in Bible. Many theological scholars and teachers have had question why God call himself as Elohim meaning Gods. But the answer is in Bible.
Through the process to creating man and woman, God created them as like the image of him, and man and woman were created. It means God has two images - man's image and woman's image.
So, the answer is as God the Father who has the images of man exist, as God the Mother who has the image of woman also exist from the Genesis.
