Do you have a heavenly citizenship?
“You have a heavenly citizenship now”
If we hear this word from God, how much will we be happy? Here is a fragrance of Zion in regards to this matter. Let me deliver it to you.
When I was waiting for my turn to clear immigration in India, a foreign traveler standing in front of the immigration checkpoint was breaking out in a sweat. The entry of foreigners seemed very strict. Observing the process, I also became nervous, thinking what question will they ask me? What if they do not allow me to enter?
When I looked around, the people of India looked very comfortable unlike foreign travelers including myself. It was because the entry process for those who had India citizenship was very simple and easy. Besides that, they must have felt relieved since they came back to their home country.
At that moment, a verse from the Bible hit home in my heart:
Philippians 3:20-21 “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.”
The process of entry into the Kingdom of Heaven, where only those who have the heavenly citizenship can enter, will not be so easy. I was so thankful for the fact that I had received the promise of a Heavenly Citizenship as a child of God. And I keenly felt how great the blessing of the heavenly citizenship is. Now I imagine myself confidently showing my heavenly citizenship with a comfortable mind in front of the gate of heaven.
“The one who has the heavenly citizenship!”
The mere thought of hearing these words makes me feel overwhelmed. I pray that we will all enter the kingdom of Heaven confidently. In order to enter the kingdom of heaven safely, we must have eternal life that is a citizenship of heaven.
Revelation 21:1,4 “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
