Easter is Wrong Customs

2022-04-17 04:23
Many Christians eat eggs together at Easter when they celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.

Is this custom from the Bible?

Why is it that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is being called Easter?

We have to actually know that Easter and eggs don't come from the Bible.
Nowhere does the Bible speak of Easter eggs.

Easter has its origin of the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring and fertility according to Encyclopedia Britanica. it has nothing to do with Christianity.

The Bible only mentions bread for the Day of Resurrection. (LK24:13-16)

The saints of the early Church broke bread together on the Day of Resurrection, the first Sunday(the day after the Sabbath) following the Feast of Unleavened Bread. (Acts 20:6-7)

we must reject the wrong custom of eating eggs at Easter, but break bread together on the Day of Resurrection, just as the Bible has taught us.

Amen! Easter originated from a pagan festival for celebrating a goddess of Spring. We should not keep Easter. Instead, we must keep the Day of Resurrection. Easter is a mere man-made feast, through which we cannot get salvation. Those who celebrate Easter worship God in vain. The World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) keeps the feasts of the New Covenant by following the teachings of Jesus and Christ Ahnsahnghong who restored the New Covenant including the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. You can meet Christ Ahnsahnghong who as come as the Second Coming Christ and restored the ruined feasts of the New Covenant to lead us to the kingdom of heaven. Please come to the Church of God to keep the feasts of the New Covenant and meet the Savior of this age: Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother.

2,000 years ago, Jesus was sacrificed on the cross and resurrected three days later. So, the members of the Church of God celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on the Day of Resurrection by breaking bread. However, many churches around the world keep Easter to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus. They celebrate Easter by sharing hard-boiled eggs without breaking bread. It is not according to the teachings of the Bible. As we commemorate the resurrection of Jesus according to God's teachings, let's go on the path to eternal life.

Easter comes from the pagan custom of northern Europe not from the teachings of God.

Can you find the custom that eats the boiled egg in the Bible? Can you find the word "Easter day" in the Bible? There's no word about them. Rather, we can find about 'the Resurrection Day', the day of resurrection of Jesus. On that day, Jesus gave his disciples the bread for opening their spiritual eyes. We need to keep the Resurrection day rather than Easter which is originated from the pagan custom.

Amen! It is a pity that most Christians today do not know much about the Day of Resurrection. The correct name for the feast is the Day of Resurrection, not Easter. Just by looking at the Bible, we can see that there is no verse about eating eggs on Easter. It is only the fact that the disciples, whose spiritual eyes were blinded, ate the bread that Jesus had broken, and their spiritual eyes were opened to recognize Him. The practices practiced on Easter in Christianity today are derived from pagan customs. If you want to fully believe in and follow Jesus, doing what Jesus taught as an example through the Bible would be the right attitude of faith.

Amen!!~ It eats the bread in the Resurrection Day, not egg. God's people absolutely obey the Word of God. The Bible is the book that recorded the Word of God.

The Biblical name of Easter is the Resurrection Day. It is totally different from the Easter. On the day, Jesus who was resurrected gave the bread to two disciples when He met on the road. It was NOT the eggs. After having the bread, the two came to realize who they met.

Definitely it is important to know and distinguish the origin of Easter since it is not recorded in the Bible. Some people do not exactly know where the Easter came from. If we search the information about Easter you can clearly see that it was originate from pagan festivals. But how can we mix the pagan festival with the feast of God? In the Bible, there is a clear record of Jesus' resurrection as well as how did Jesus keep it. On the Resurrection day we should commemorate His resurrection with the bread so that our spiritual eyes could be opened. Let us acknowledge our God and Savior in this age by keeping resurrection day!

According to the Bible, we should break bread on the Resurrection Day (Ac 20:7). Easter, on which people eat eggs, is a regulation to worship another god. Christ Ahnsahnghong came to the earth and made known to us how to keep the Resurrection Day of the New Covenant. Please come to the Church of God and receive the resurrection of life by keeping the Resurrection Day of the New Covenant.
