Through the bible again and again God teaches people that we should be good and love the aliens and strangers.

Exodus 22:21 You shall not wrong a stranger or oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Leviticus 19:34 You shall not wrong a stranger or oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Why does God give us regulations and teachings about the aliens and strangers so many times through the bible? Apparently this is because once the Israel people lived in the land of Egypt as aliens and strangers. However, these regulations are not given just in memory of the Egyptian captivity. The ultimate purpose of God is always for the spiritual Israel people.

Whatever is written in the past was written to teach us the spiritual people of God. According to the bible, all of us are living in this earth as aliens and strangers spiritually. Some might say I am not living as aliens because I live in the hometown where I was born. Then how can I be called aliens? This might be true in his life in the flesh in this earth. But I am speaking about the hometown of our spirit?

Where did our spirit come from? Was our spirit born in this earth along with our body? Is our spiritual home this earth too? The bible teaches that our spirit was not originated on this earth, rather it came from God in heaven. Thus, after our life on this earth is over, our spirit will return to our true home, the heavenly one. (Gen 2:7, Ecc 12:7)

Apostles of the early church teaches us again and again that our life on this earth is that of aliens and strangers.

1Peter 2:11 Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul.

1Peter 1:17 Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear.

Apostle Peter let us know that we are living as foreigners and exiles on this earth, which means that we do not belong to this world. Our life on this earth is temporary and when the time comes we will go back to our true home. Then where is our true hometown? Apostle Paul testifies about the world we will go back to.
While speaking about the forefathers of faith, Paul says that their life on this earth was temporary and short. When their life on this earth is over, the eternal home is waiting for them where they would go back to when they end their life of strangers here.

Hebrews 11:13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. 14 People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15 If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

He boldly testify about the heavenly country where we will return when the appointed time comes. That is the home for our spirit where our spiritual Father and Mother and brothers and sisters live. That is the place where our citizenship belongs.

Philippians 3:20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

For these reasons all the people of God compared their life here as tent. Their body is the temporary space for their soul to live and when the time comes they leave the tent of their body behind and their soul would receive a glorious heavenly body and then they will go back to their eternal home.

Christ himself said that he would prepare our place in heaven and when done he would come back and take us to the heaven.

John 14:1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”

Now the time of the fulfillment of the prophecies of the bible has come and Christ has come back again to take us to the eternal home we belong to. Let us hold on to this faith and do the will of God. God said that the crown of righteousness is waiting for us and we will reign in heaven forever and ever. The hardship and tribulations are short and the glory would be eternal with our Father and Mother in heaven.
