We should keep the Sabbath
Why should we keep the Sabbath? Did Jesus keep the Sabbath?
- The Sabbath observed by Jesus:
Luke 4:16 states that when Jesus came to Nazareth, his hometown, he entered the synagogue on the Sabbath, as was his custom. He read from the Scriptures and participated in Sabbath worship. This shows that Jesus adhered to the Sabbath as a regular practice. The Sabbath, in this context, refers to the seventh-day Sabbath, not Sunday.
- The Sabbath observed by the apostles:
Acts 17:2 mentions that the apostle Paul, following his usual practice, reasoned with people from the Scriptures for three Sabbaths. This indicates that Paul also upheld the observance of the Sabbath. Nowhere in the Bible is Sunday mentioned as an officially designated day of worship. The Sabbath is consistently emphasized and upheld by both Jesus and the apostles.
The Bible testifies to the importance of the Sabbath, and as believers in Christ, we are called to keep the Sabbath. Sunday worship, on the other hand, is not explicitly supported by biblical evidence.

If you believe in God, you must keep the Sabbath that Christ Jesus and the apostles kept.
We must follow God's word, which is keeping the Sabbath Day, not Sunday
We must keep the Sabbath of the New Covenant that Jesus and the apostles have shown.
The Sabbath that the Bible testifies to is Saturday, not Sunday.
In this world, only WMSCOG keeps the Sabbath day according to the teachings of the Bible. WMSCOG upholds the Sabbath on Saturday as Jesus and His disciples kept. Many people who worship God on Sunday rationalize their Sunday service by insisting that the worship day has been changed without clear records of the Bible. The criteria of distinguish the truth from false is the words of the Bible. Keeping which day between Sabbath and Sunday service is very crucial because our salvation relies on God's promised day. Let us keep the Sabbath on Saturday as the Bible instructs and let people know this important truth as much as possible.
The Sabbath of the New Covenant that the Church of God observes is the Sabbath of the New Covenant that Jesus came and perfected.
The Church of God keeps the perfected New Covenant Sabbath in spirit and in truth. Also, the Church of God observes the Sabbath of the New Covenant, following the teachings of Jesus and the apostles. The Sabbath of the New Covenant is a blessed day when we can receive the forgiveness of our sins and receive the blessing of eternal rest, wearing the sacrifice of Christ who shed His blood for sinners.
Currently, the only church that keeps the Sabbath of the new covenant is the Church of God.
The Church of God is a church that keeps the Sabbath of the New Covenant perfected by Jesus according to the teachings of the Bible.
