Purpose Of Faith
People engage in various activities with their own purposes. For instance, students go to school to learn, and patients go to the hospital to receive treatment. So, what is the purpose of attending church and practicing faith?
The Bible states that the ultimate purpose of our faith is salvation of the soul. Salvation means receiving eternal life, as without salvation, our souls would be bound for hell due to sin.
The apostles affirmed that God has promised us eternal life:
"And this is what he promised us—eternal life." - 1 John 2:25
Thus, the purpose of our faith can be defined as obtaining eternal life. So, how did Jesus, our Savior, teach us to obtain eternal life? He taught that those who eat His flesh and drink His blood will receive eternal life:
"Jesus said to them, 'Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.'" - John 6:53-54
Here, the term "Son of Man" refers to Jesus. He emphasized that unless we partake of His flesh and blood, we cannot have eternal life. On the other hand, those who do partake will have eternal life. This emphasizes that the only way to obtain eternal life is to eat Jesus' flesh and drink His blood.
So, how can we eat His flesh and drink His blood? The answer lies in observing the New Covenant Passover:
"On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, 'Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?' He replied, 'Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, "The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house."' So, the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover." - Matthew 26:17-19
During the Passover meal, Jesus took bread and wine, blessed them, and said they were His body and blood. He instructed His disciples to eat the bread and drink the wine, which represent His flesh and blood. By observing the Passover, we fulfill the act of eating His flesh and drinking His blood.
If we do not observe the Passover, what happens? As Jesus said, if we don't eat His flesh and drink His blood, we won't have life. Our faith's purpose, which is eternal life, is only attainable through observing the Passover.
Therefore, like Jesus and His disciples, we must observe the Passover to achieve the purpose of our faith – receiving eternal life.

God allows us to receive eternal life by keeping the Passover. It's the New Covenant which was established by God's promise. We must keep the Passover by believeing in the words of God to receive salvation.
Right. The truth of the Passover of the New Covenant is so precious. This truth was preached by Christ Ahnsahnghong who is the Second Coming Christ. The Passover was abolished by Satan in A.D 325. Without keeping the Passover of the New Covenant, no one can have eternal life as Jesus promised. In the last age, the Passover of the New Covenant is being kept in the Church of God. This means we can achieve the purpose of our faith by keeping the Passover in the Church of God. I hope everyone comes to WMSCOG and keeps God's commandments for their salvation!
To obtain eternal life, which is the purpose of faith, you must keep the Passover.
If we say we want to go to heaven and there's no action, it's a lie. To go to heaven, you have to obey the laws of heaven.
The purpose of our belief in God is to receive eternal life, receive forgiveness of sins, and go to heaven. All of that is accomplished through the Passover of the new covenant established by Jesus. The Church of God is the only church that keeps the Passover of the new covenant today.
We are going to church for salvation. Then we must know the right way to salvation. The Bible clearly indicates that the method is Passover.
We can receive eternal life which is our goal of faith when we keep the New Covenant Passover in WMSCOG!
The only way to get eternal life is to keep the Passover of the new covenant. It is so clearly showed in the bible. I will observe the Passover with all my heart to the end and share this good news to the people of the world!
The purpose of faith is the salvation of the soul. No matter how hard you shout that you believe in God, there is no point in believing if you do not receive the salvation of your soul. And God kept our salvation, the promise of eternal life, on Passover. It is only an echo in the air to shout that God has saved you without keeping the Passover.
By eating Jesus’ flesh and drinking His blood, we can have eternal life. The Passover is the way to eat Jesus’ flesh and drink His blood. Then what should we do to have eternal life? We should keep the Passover of the new covenant. Unless we keep the Passover, we cannot have eternal life.
Therefore, let us keep the Passover just as Jesus and His disciples did, so that we can have eternal life the goal of our faith and enter the kingdom of heaven!
The purpose believing in God is having eternal life. We can achieve it through the Passover of the New Covenant.
The Passover is the way to eternal life, the goal of our faith. Let us keep it and return to our heavenly home.
