Today, let’s study the Bible with the title “Who are false prophets?”  Jesus already knew that His people to whom He wanted to give the forgiveness of sins by shedding His blood would be deceived by false prophets. So Jesus told us to watch out for false prophets by teaching the characteristics of false prophets so that we will not be deceived by them no matter how gentle, truthful and righteous they look. If we do not look carefully into the words of the Bible, we will fail to discern between true and false prophets and our souls will be ravaged. So we should have wisdom and discernment to recognize false prophets through the Bible. So from now on, let’s find out who are false prophets through the words of God.

First, let’s take a look at the teachings of Jesus.

Mt 7:15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.

Here, Jesus clearly warned us to watch out for false prophets. Then why did Jesus warn us to watch out for false prophets? Because they are spiritually ferocious wolves and destroy our souls. They conceal their identity and come to people in sheep’s clothing. So people consider them as God’s prophets and follow them. As for their appearance, they are righteous and holy. But inwardly, they are false prophets who destroy our souls. Let’s examine them through the teachings of Jesus.

Mt 23:14-15 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to. “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.

Here, Jesus said woe to you. About 2,000 years ago, Jesus pointed at the Pharisees and the teachers of the law and said they were false prophets. False prophets hate the fact that we will enter the Kingdom of Heaven the most. Their goal is to destroy souls. That is the only focus. False prophets shut the door to the Kingdom of Heaven and hinder people as well as themselves from entering it. They come to people as they lead the people of God, so people consider them as God’s prophets. However, Jesus said otherwise. Then we need to understand correctly why did Jesus say so. Outwardly, they appear as gentle lambs but when viewed spiritually, they are messengers sent from hell to destroy souls.

Mt 15:7-9 You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: “ ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.’ ”

Jesus said that the Pharisees and the teachers of the law are hypocrites. Because they just appear to act as if they believe in God. Jesus said that they worship God in vain because they are taught and trained with the rules of men. This is one of the characteristics of false prophets that Jesus taught us. False prophets’ thoughts and judgments are based on the commandments of men so that they can never please God.

There is a prophecy about false prophets written by the prophet Ezekiel.

Eze 22:23-25 Again the word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, say to the land, ‘You are a land that has not been cleansed or rained on in the day of wrath.’ There is a conspiracy of her princes within her like a roaring lion tearing its prey; they devour people, take treasures and precious things and make many widows within her.

God said that they are like a roaring lion. In 1 Peter chapter 5, the devil is likened to a roaring lion.

1Pt 5:8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Here, we can understand that the devil is compared to a roaring lion in the Bible. False prophets are messengers sent from the devil, not from God. That’s why they come to people to devour souls.

Eze 22:26 Her priests do violence to my law and profane my holy things; they do not distinguish between the holy and the common; they teach that there is no difference between the unclean and the clean; and they shut their eyes to the keeping of my Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.

This is a very decisive factor about false prophets. It’s a very important characteristic to recognize them. It says that they shut their eyes to the keeping of God’s Sabbath. Since they shut their eyes to the keeping of God’s Sabbath, they do not teach about it to other people. And since they do not teach about the Sabbath, they do not keep it. Since they do not keep the Sabbat, how is God treated among them? God is profaned among them. Is it possible to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, profaning God? Never. God said that they whitewash their deeds to appear Holy and righteous.

Eze 22:28 Her prophets whitewash these deeds for them by false visions and lying divinations. They say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says’—when the Lord has not spoken.

False prophets whitewash their deeds for them by false visions and lying divinations. Let’s take a look at concerning word about it.

Mt 23:27-28 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

Jesus said that they are like whitewashed tombs. To whitewash is to masquerade. Whitewash is a liquid composition to whitening a surface to make it clean and white even a dirty spot. They whitewash their feeds to appear to people as righteous but on the inside, they are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

Eze 22:31 So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger, bringing down on their own heads all they have done, declares the Sovereign Lord.”

God will pour out His wrath on them and consume them with His fiery anger. Because they do not keep the Sabbath that profane God among them. And also, they shut the doors to the Kingdom of Heaven and hinder people as well as themselves from entering it. They can never enter the Kingdom of Heaven. God said those who are deceived by them can not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Some people will say that they didn't know that they followed false prophets. However, they also keep the lawlessness. That’s why Jesus taught us about false prophets in detail. We should give all thanks and honor to Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother for allowing us wisdom and discernment through Their love and grace.
