Numbers 28:9 On the Sabbath day, make an offering of two lambs a year old without defect, together with its drink offering and a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with olive oil.

This passage explains the Sabbath regulations of the Old Testament. In Old Testament times, to keep the Sabbath, one had to slaughter a lamb, shed its blood, and sacrifice it to God.

However, the New Testament era no longer needs the blood of sheep. This is because Jesus himself became the embodiment of a lamb and sacrificed himself on behalf of all sheep.

So, how should we keep the Sabbath in the New Testament era?

John 4:21~23 “Woman,”Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. ... Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.

How did God say we should worship Him in the New Testament era? He said we must worship ‘in spirit and truth.’ In other words, the way of worship has changed from the Sabbath of the Old Testament, where sacrifices of animals were made, to the Sabbath of the New Testament, where people worship in spirit and truth. So, Jesus himself showed us an example of worshiping in spirit and truth on the Sabbath.

Luke 4:16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read,

Jesus preached from the Bible every Sabbath and personally demonstrated that the form of worship had changed. In other words, it is not that the Sabbath has disappeared, but the way to keep the Sabbath has changed.
So what should we, children of God, do?
Shouldn’t we worship in spirit and truth as Jesus showed us?

Therefore, WMSCOG worships with the Bible on the Sabbath. It is not to keep the Sabbath, which is the law of the Old Testament, but to keep the Sabbath, which is the law of the New Testament. Observing the Sabbath on the seventh day, Saturday, remains the same in both the Old and New Testaments. Only the method of keeping the Sabbath has changed.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that the Sabbath has disappeared. God told us to keep the Sabbath in a new way and even to the end of the world (Mark 24:20). Therefore, God's people must still cherish and keep the Sabbath even in the New Testament era.
