The reason we should practice the words of God

In the old testament, a story of Lot a nephew of Abraham was written.

Lot had too many his possessions, so he left to Sodom and Gomorrah.

The wickedness were filled in there and God was about to destroy it.

However, Lot was given grace of God.

Ge19:12-13 Then the man said to Lot, "Have you anyone else here？ Sons-in-law, sons, daughters, or anyone you have in the city, bring them out of the place. For we are about to destroy this place, because the outcry against its people has become great before the LORD, and the LORD has sent us to destroy it."

Two angels said to Him to live with his family so that they would not suffer a disaster.

Ge19:14 So Lot went out and said to his sons-in-law, who were to marry his daughters, "Up! Get out of this place, for the LORD is about to destroy the city." But he seemed to his sons-in-law to be jesting.

Lot’s sons-in-law regarded his word as a jest.

An important point is that God let them know not only the disaster but also the way of salvation.

God has given us a way of salvation in this age too.

Jer4:5 Declare in Judah, and proclaim in Jerusalem, and say, "Blow the trumpet through the land cry aloud and say, 'Assemble, and let us go into the fortified cities.!' Raise a standard toward Zion, flee for safety, stay not, for I bring disaster from the north, and great destruction.

It says we should go to Zion. Zion is the place where we are saved.

The place where feasts of God are kept is Zion(Isa33:20) the world mission society church of God.

As Lot carried out the word of God and received salvation, we too can be saved by being in Zion.
