In the Bible, we have to meet the root of David and then we can receive salvation from Him. He also established the true church. Not all the churches are the churches which can be saved but only the one church established by the root of David is true church.

To go one place we haven't been, we have to know the exact route. If we take wrong number bus or wrong train, we cannot reach the destination on time. The case of the Bible is same.
