WMSCOG keeps the Passover of the New Covenant.

The reason WMSCOG keeps the Passover is that is the teaching of God and the will of God.

Today, most churches celebrate Sunday service and Christmas which are not in the Bible but they do not celebrate the Passover of the New Covenant which is in the Bible. Because they think that the Passover is one of the laws in the Old Testament which is abolished. However, contrary to their thought, the Passover has not been abolished. The Bible records the scene where Jesus kept the Passover.

Lk 22:14-15 When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.

Lk 22:19-20 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you

Jesus established the New Covenant by saying that the Passover bread is His flesh and the Passover wine is His blood.

And the Bible also records the scene where the disciple and apostles kept the Passover as Jesus’ example after Jesus’ crucifixion.

1Co 11:23-26 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

The Passover of the New Covenant which was established by Jesus and kept by the early church is the commandment of God which we have to keep until the end, not the abolished law.
