Do you know about homing instinct that some animals have?

Salmon is one of the typical migratory fish that you might know very well. Salmon are born in freshwater but spend most of their life in the sea. Then they come back to the stream, where they were born to spawn.

Though they do not have any special tools to find their way, they can find their way back home.
They use the constellations or the moon or the sun as their index direction, or ding a way through clear geographic features or smell, or even receive help from an invisible force.

The way back home is not easy for them. They overcome their difficulties or the change of environment to return.

What about humans?
We, too miss our hometown when we left our home for a long. Isn't this all because of our homing instinct? We, too have a homing instinct.

Often people talk about heaven. Heaven is beautiful and even cannot explain with the words on this earth.
Though we have never seen heaven with our naked eyes we imagine heaven as an undescribable place or paradise.
I believe that the thought of heaven came from our spiritual homing instinct. Furthermore, the Bible tells us that our hometown is not on this earth, but in heaven.

While we are living on this earth, it might not easy to have hope for the kingdom of heaven, the spiritual world. However, we should overcome and never lose the glory of returning to the kingdom of God, where we came from.

Let us back to the kingdom of God, where our Father and Mother are waiting.

Heb 11: 15-16 If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better country-a heavenly one.
