Prophetical David, Christ Ahnsahnghong who saved us
Every word in the Bible contains the precious will of God, which He wants us to know. However, most people do not realize the hidden meaning of the words of every prophecy in the Bible. Among many words in the Bible, let’s find out the implied meaning of the words, “Seek David in the last days.”
Hos 3:5 “Afterward the Israelites will return and seek the LORD their God and David their king. They will come trembling to the LORD and to his blessings in the last days.“
Prophet Hosea prophesied that what God’s people must do in the last days is to seek David, therefore they could receive the blessings of God and be saved. The book of Ezekiel was written about 450 years after the death of David, the king of Israel. It means that David prophesied in Hos 3:5 cannot be the physical David, but the prophetical David. In other words, this implies that God will come in the name of David in the last days. Then, who is the prophetical David? Let us find out this through the Bible.
Isa 9:6 “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.”
As we already know, the above passage is the prophecy about Jesus who will come later. As Isaiah prophesied, “Jesus, the God in the flesh, came as David.
Lk 1:30 “You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus… The LORD will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.”
Since it is written that God will give Jesus the throne of His father David, Jesus is the prophetical David and there must be the relationship between David and Jesus which we must carefully study. First, let’s find out what prophetical relationship there is between the period of King David’s reign and the period of Jesus’s ministry on earth.
2 Sa 5:4 “David was thirty years old when he became king, and he reigned forty years.“
It is written that David became king when he was 30 years and he reigned for 40 years. Let’s see how Jesus, the prophetical David, fulfilled this prophecy.
Lk 3:21 “When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying… a voice came from heaven… Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry.“
As David began to reign at the age of 30, Jesus was also began to preach the gospel by receiving baptism. Jesus could have been baptized at the age of 20 or 40. Then, why did Jesus be baptized at the age of 30 and began His ministry? It was because He had to fulfill the prophecy of David’s throne. Then, how long must Jesus preach the gospel? Just as David reigned for 40 years, so Jesus had to preach the gospel for 40 years. Did Jesus preach for 40 years? No, He didn’t. He just preached the gospel only for 3 years. Here, we need to pay attention to the fact that Jesus did His ministry for only three years, while David reigned for 40 years. Still 37 years of ministry have not been fulfilled. This is the reason why Jesus must appear second time to accomplish the remaining prophecy of King David.
Heb 9:27-28 “Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.”
Jesus was to come to this earth a second time and be baptized at the age of 30 and preach the gospel for 37 years so that He could fulfill the prophecy about the throne of David. About this, prophet Hosea prophesied that we must seek David in the last days to receive God’s blessing, salvation. However, we must be careful because there are so many false christs in this last days. Then, what is the sign of the Second Coming Jesus, the prophetical David, through which we can recognize Him correctly and receive Him? Let’s find out through the Bible.
Isa 55:4-5 “I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David. See, I have made him a witness to the people, a leader and commander of the peoples…”
God said that an everlasting covenant will be a sign of David through which we can recognize him. Then, what is the everlasting covenant?
Heb 13:20 “May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good…”
We can see here that the eternal covenant has a connection with the blood of Jesus. So, the everlasting covenant was established by Jesus’s blood. What is the covenant established in Jesus’ blood? It is the Passover of the new covenant. Jesus preached the Passover of the new covenant 2,000 years ago. However, Satan hindered the gospel so that the Passover had been abolished at the council of Nicaea. In order to give us salvation, the Second Coming Jesus has come and preached the gospel for 37 years. Moreover, He restored the Passover of the New covenant for our salvation. It is only Father Ahnsahnghong who fulfilled all these prophecy. Let us believe in Father Ahnsahnghong and enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
