The guideline to enter the kingdom of heaven
Recently, I have read a book in regards to the way to achieve a goal effectively. In that book, the author says, there are four key points to achieve a goal. Firstly, we have to prioritize. Secondly, we have to find out the way to achieve a goal. Thirdly, we have to take away everything that does not belong to our goal. Lastly, we have to focus on our goal. In the life of our faith, we also needed ‘the guideline to achieve our goal’. It is because if we ignore the guideline, we cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. The Bible says, there are many people who want to enter the kingdom of heaven but only a few can.
Matthew 7:13-14 “”Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
The criteria for success lies only in God. Let’s find out the way of God, which has made known to us through the Bible. Firstly, we have to prioritize. Our top priority in our life of faith should be the ‘salvation of our souls.’
1 Peter 1:9… for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
Some might want to seek earthly wealth and fame. However, it should never take priority over the hope for heaven. Unfortunately, many Christians nowadays have focused on to physical things. One of my aunts who have attended the Presbyterian Church for several decades still prays to God for her children’s success and a better life on this earth.
Secondly, once we have set the goal of ‘salvation’ as our top priority, then we should find a correct way to this goal. Of course, it must be one determined by God because only God, who is the Savior of all men, can give us the salvation.
Luke 4:16 He [Jesus] went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read…
Matthew 26:19 so the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.
John 7:2-14 But when the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles was near… Not until halfway through the Feast did Jesus go up to the temple courts and begin to teach.
Thirdly, we must take away everything that does not belong to God. The Sunday service, Christmas and Thanksgiving Day are not God’s festivals but man-made ones. God said no other commandment can lead us to salvation. Therefore, we should boldly get rid of anything that is not related to ‘salvation.’
In these last days, only the World Mission Society Church of God shows us the guideline to enter the kingdom of Heaven. If you have chosen the Church of God, you can meet the Holy Spirit and the Bride who is the Saviors prophesied by the Bible in this last age. In order to achieve our goal, the salvation of our souls, lastly, we have to focus on the teachings of the Holy Spirit and the Bride.
Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.
Now, the kingdom of Heaven is ahead of us. Are you following the guideline to enter the kingdom of Heaven? If not, please come to the Church of God and prepare yourself.
