Let’s distinguish true and false by comparing ‘Pentecost’ and ‘Lent’.

Lent is alleged to be one of the observances in Christianity before Easter.
They claim that the purpose of Lent is to prepare for Easter through prayer
and they keep fasting to replicate the Jesus’ sacrifice when He spent 40 days in the desert.
With this reason, they commemorate Lent for 40 days until Easter.

Is the term of ‘Lent’ written in the Bible?
Did God command to keep it? Of course not!

Lent is neither written in the Bible nor spoken by God.
Rather, God commanded us to keep ‘Pentecost’.
Thus they adds men’s rule to the Bible and take God’s words away from the book of prophecy.

Mt 15:8~9 Jesus said, “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.
They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.”

In the Old Testament, God’s people kept the Day of counting off fifty days from the Resurrection Day,
in commemoration of presenting an new grain to God.

Lev 23:15~16 The LORD said to Moses, “From the day after the Sabbath,
the day you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, count off seven full weeks.
Count off fifty days up to the day after the seventh Sabbath,
and then present an offering of new grain to the LORD.”

In the New Testament, God’s people kept Pentecost
with hoping God would give them the Holy Spirit.

Act 2:1~47 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.
All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues
as the Spirit enabled them.
And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Pentecost which counts 50 days after the Resurrection Day
must be kept as God’s commands and is very biblical.

On the other hand, Lent which counts 40 days before Easter
must be the men’s rule and definitely is non-biblical.

As God warned everyone, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’
will enter the kingdom of heaven,
but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”,
in order to go back to heavenly country,
we must understand God’s will and try to complete His commands
and follow His will in every circumstances.

Absolutely ‘Pentecost’ is the truth and ‘Lent’ is a falsehood.
To keep the Pentecost is to follow God’s will.
