Love cannot be explained by science, and God is love

Love is the unselfish act of concern for others. I remember, as a child, I would not understand why couples in deep love with each other would behave the way they did. As a child who did not understand what love was, their care and concern for each other only gave me goose-bumps, and seemed so irrational. One self-explanatory story that well-demonstrates irrationality is “Romeo and Juliet” written by William Shakespeare. As we all know, Romeo finally kills himself after realizing the death of his beloved one: Juliet, in the story.

From the perspective of those who have never experienced the power of love, it may appear so illogical and even foolish to end one’s life for such a reason. However, those who have experienced and know what love can do, will easily sympathize with Romeo’s irrationality.

We, too, can never understand the work of God planned over 6000 years just for us, unless we have this quality called love. With science and logics, who can ever explain Mother’s letting go of all the glories of heaven and coming down to this Earth to save us, our Father’s infinite sacrifice for us on our behalf, our acts of preaching and serving the community through a variety of campaigns, and also many other kinds of good deeds we do for others? It is only through love that all those start to make sense.

I truly give thanks to Father Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother for allowing this sinful child who was only trying to understand the word of God with knowledge, to learn what love is. Only now I can truly understand the word of God with heart without putting science before God.
