True and False
The bible indicates that if you believe in Jesus and confess the name of God then you will be saved. On the Other hand, the bible lets us know that not everyone who says to God, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven.
Romans 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
In the book of Romans it says, if we confess the name of God and believe in our heart then we will be saved. However, even if we say to God, ‘Lord, Lord,’ we cannot be saved if we do not follow the will of God. Which Biblical verse is right? Naturally, both verses are the true words of God.
When Jesus came to the Earth and built the church of God with the new covenant, there was only one truth, there was only one teaching and there was only one church that believed in Jesus. The meaning of confessing the name of Jesus and belief in Him was the belief in the church that had the one and only truth. However, lawlessness which was planted by Satan and a different gospel which was not preached by Jesus appeared after Jesus’ ascension. The apostle Peter and Paul warned that if people brought the way of truth into disrepute and followed a different gospel which was not preached by Jesus, they would be destroyed and condemned.
2 Peter 2:1~3 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them–bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
Galatians 1:6~8 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel– which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!
From the time the cult, the ‘false’ also called a different gospel, appeared there was a need to discern between the ‘true’ and the ‘false.’
Jesus let us know the way to distinguish the true and the false. The evil doer who says they believe in God but does not follow the will of God is the ‘false’ doomed to perish.
The ‘false’ dislikes how the truth is discerned through the bible, because a made up story and falsehood are revealed in their entirety. So, they insist that ‘if you believe, you will be saved’ and do not allow questions or nitpicking. They block the way, but not to try and distinguish between the true and the false. They are so ironic that they not only insist that redemption comes only from belief, but they also pass judgments about others’ as cults. They not only abandon the word of God which is the new covenant including the Sabbath and the Passover, but also follow the evil way. However, they still rationalize that if you believe in God, then you will be saved, and denounce the other denominations as cults which are different from them in doctrine. Even though they do all those things, they are without shame.
The ‘true’ is the one and only truth built by Jesus and the one and only church which follows His teachings. Only the one who distinguishes what is ‘true’ and follows the will of God can enter the kingdom of Heaven.
